Meet Jimmy Fitzgibbon

Mount Snow Ski Werks is proud to sponsor Jimmy on his journey with the Mount Snow Freestyle Team!

Jimmy competes in Slopestyle (rails and big air), halfpipe, and rail jams — and can often be found in the park at Carinthia, honing his skills, supporting his teammates, and, simply put, ripping it up. His talent, dedication, and sportsmanship stand out every time he’s on the mountain. We first met Jimmy and his family in the lift line at Mount Snow and were immediately struck by their warmth, energy, and love for the sport. His parents, Jamie and Jane, along with his three brothers, are all passionate skiers — and it's clear that for the Fitzgibbon family, skiing isn’t just a pastime; it’s part of their story. We're honored to support Jimmy as he pursues his passion, and we can't wait to see what he accomplishes next.

Here's a little bit about Jimmy and his family:

The next winter Jimmy entered the devo program and his younger brother Shea skied with mom and dad.  Leo was next to ski with mom and dad and Shea graduated to Devo.  Leo will enter the programs next year and compete with Jimmy.

When they're not skiing, the boys are still active (which we LOVE!). Jimmy plays baseball, club soccer, football and summer basketball.  Shea plays club soccer and football.  Leo plays any sport that has a ball and a team for his age (6).

Jimmy’s favorite resort to date is Copper because that is where National Championships are held, but his heart and comfort are at Carinthia at Mount Snow.

Jimmy’s favorite run is whatever run has the best jump / rail line at Carinthia on a given day, however he tends to favor Nitro to Junkyard this last season.  Side jumps on Long John and Ripcord are also fun for him.

Jimmy loves all sports and swimming with his brothers and friends.  He loves a good night out at the hibachi restaurant and is a big fan of the chicken wing.  Driveway basketball or street hockey on roller blades gets him going as well.

Jimmy has broken three bones, loves to set up roller blade terrain parks in the yard or ski jumps at home during the winter.  His biggest competitors are his two younger brothers (Shea, 9 and Leo, 6).  Jimmy has qualified for National Championships the last three years at Copper Mountain, CO and has skied at Vail and Breck.  He has trained at Waterville Valley in New Hampshire and Maximise in Canada over the past two summers on their airbags to ready himself for winters at Carinthia.

PARTNERSHIPS

Interested in partnering with Mount Snow Ski Werks?

At Mount Snow Ski Werks, we’re committed to supporting young skiers who have the passion and talent to go far in the sport. We understand that skiing can be an expensive pursuit — especially for growing groms who are constantly sizing up throughout the season. We see how hard families work to make it all happen, and we have deep respect for that dedication. That’s why we’re doing what we can to help make skiing more accessible for the next generation. Stay tuned for more info on how to partner with Mount Snow Ski Werks, including eligibility and application details.
